Lyric Hearing Aids

A&A Hearing Group is one of the most experienced Lyric providers on the East Coast. We are not only trained in the device and considered a Premier Provider by the manufacturer, Insound Medical has asked both Dr. Ross Cushing and Dr. Jenifer Cushing to give lectures to other audiologists around the country regarding practical fitting advice.

Lyric instruments have quickly become some of our popular hearing aids. If you’re ‘tuned into’ hearing aids, you’ve probably read something about the company in the New York Times, or seen something on TV. We began fitting the Lyric in the spring of 2009, and patients really love the results. From new users to experienced hearing aid wearers, when the Lyric fits, it is an excellent instrument to wear. It fits an wide range of hearing losses, and stays in the ear for 60-90 days at a time. It is comfortable, and effortless. The process for obtaining a Lyric is very easy. And most people who are candidates for the Lyric love to wear them.

Phonak Hearing Aids

We are an authorized Distributer of Phonak Hearing Aids. Phonak has a complete product line to accommodate every hearing loss. The top level hearing aids manufactured by Phonak have the best noise reduction of all hearing aids. One of the most ingenious innovations by phonak is their “Sound Recover” technology that allows people who cannot normally hear high frequencies (like the high notes on a piano or soft bird chirps) to hear them with ease and comfort. The newer models of Phonak hearing aids have the ability to easily and wireless work with your cellphone and music players.

Phonak also has excellent FM system devices. FM systems are designed to help listeners very easily understand speech in noise, or speech at a distance. An integrated FM system cost between $2000 and $3500 but it is worth every penny. Phonak’s new FM devices have especially impressive background noise reduction technology, and their newer hearing aids actually recognize when the device is turned on, and will automatically connect with it.

This device, the Smartlink SX,for example, allows the user to answer and talk on a cell phone, while listening wirelessly with their hearing aids. It also can plug into the television and wirelessly transmit clear audio to your hearing aids. It can also be used to hear whispers at the other end of a long auditorium.

Often, the most used feature is the “zoom”, which allows the listener to hear in very noisy places like restaurants or dining halls. Assistive listening devices can be used either as a supplement to hearing aids or alone.

Widex Hearing Aids

We are an authorized Distributer of Widex Hearing Aids. Widex produces one of the industy’s smallest hearing aids, the Widex Passion.

The Widex Passion has some new models including the “Clear” and the “Fusion”. We are very excited about these technologies because not only is the sound quality excellent; it has the smallest remote control we’ve ever seen (optional). Widex products come in different levels of technology to accommodate all different budgets. These new models have the cleanest, richest and most natural sound quality for all listening environments.

Most people like their hearing aids to do everything automatically, for those who like a little more control over their hearing aids, almost all Widex hearing aids are compatible with a small pocket remote, which allows the listener to change the volume and other settings. This can be especially useful for special circumstances, where perhaps hearing at a distance needs a boost, such as watching TV or attending a seminar.

 

Starkey Hearing Aids

We are an Authorized dealer of Starkey hearing aids. SoundLens is one of our patient’s favorites. The Starkey SoundLens features the same technology and digital signal processing as Starkey’s leading product family, S Series iQ, and provides enough gain to allow audiologists to fit patients with moderate to severe hearing loss.is an excellent company. The S Series is Starkey’s newest hearing aid line. The craftsmanship for their earmolds is excellent. We also Starkey because they make a powerful device with excellent sound clarity with little or no feedback, even for the most profound hearing loss.

 

Oticon Hearing Aids

Some of their most popular hearing aids are the Agil Pro, Chili and Dual. The Oticon Dual is accompanied by an Oticon Streamer in the picture to the right. This is some high-tech bluetooth hearing technology.

 

Siemens Hearing Aids

Siemens is a large German company, manufacturing many products, among which are hearing aids. Siemens newest hearing aids include the Siemens Motion, Siemens Life, Siemens Pure and Siemens Explorer.  Now Siemens offers the first truly waterproof hearing aid, the Aquaris.

 

Unitron Hearing Aids

Unitron is a Swiss based hearing aid brand. They have a full product line. We prefer their high end products, Passport and Quantum 20 because they have all the great features of a premium aid, for less than the premium price. This excellent instrument is compatible with a remote control to change volume or program settings. . The picture here is the “Shift”, the smallest version of the Passport (very small).

ReSound Hearing Aids

We are authorized distributors of Resound hearing aids. The company has a new product that has great Bluetooth capabilities called the ReSound Alera. This hearing aid has excellent sound quality and is at the top of its class in wireless hearing aid technology.

 

Sonic Innovations Hearing Aids

Sonic Innovations makes a great little very water resistant hearing aid called the Touch. It’s a very small device too. They also offer Sonic Innovations Groove, Sonic Innovations Varicom, Sonic Innovations Endura, Snic Innovations ion, and Sonic Innovations Velocity models.
